Xtrusion Engineer

Xtruline Ltd forms part of AVA Medical. Xtruline Ltd is a manufacturing company specialized in medical devices for the global market. Xtruline Ltd transforms a large variety of thermoplastic polymers. Xtruline Ltd applies diverse extrusion techniques, which capacitate the production of tubes used in the manufacturing of medical devices

Main Purpose of the role

Extrusion engineer develops and evaluates the extrusion process for a manufacturing company. Your duties in this career are to support the production and engineering needs through the set-up and operation of the extrusion equipment and processes.

Must meet up production demands

Production Output

•Optimize the use of materials, equipment and employees in producing quality products.

•Perform the first troubleshooting activity on a process.

•Conduct Kaizen actions to improve process output or quality.

•Anticipate bottlenecks, specify WOF priorities, identifies risks, and escalates issues that cannot be internally resolved.

•Provide technical support on all product and processing related issues.

•Drive continuous manufacturing processes improvements using 5S and lean techniques.

Quality Output

•Ensures required documentation for processes are up to date.

•Ensure GMPs are in place and followed.

•Ensure cleanrooms practices are being respected and followed.

•Identify source of scrap and improve yields.

Leadership

Developing good working relationships within the department.

•Develop strong and effective working relationships with the Production team, Quality, Regulatory, R&D to ensure efficient and effective processes.

•Have clear and good communication with all deparments.

•Ensure workplace is safe and clean through task delegation and educating personnel

Compliance

•Adheres to company policies and standards.

•Update any existing Quality Management System documents such as Work Instructions, Quality Standard Procedures etc.

•Review IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and coordinate process validation built.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor Degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical field

Experience      

•About 3 years of experience in Production field in a Medical device background or

•5 years of Production experience from other industry field in process and/or manufacturing environment

•Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management, and Analytics software

Skills & Attributes       

•Understanding of FDA, ISO 13485, CE and GMP requirements, with the ability to interpret these requirements and implement them.

•Good analytical and problem-solving mindset.

•Demonstrate strong communication skills

•Strong computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
