Workshop and Technical Supervisor

A well-established company in the automotive business specialising in the sale of tires and batteries RECRUITING POST: Workshop and technical supervisor Qualification: Certificate or diploma in automobile mechanics or an equivalent qualification or experience in the relevant field.

Experience: candidates must have

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Commitment to team work and driven by results 

• Leadership skills 

• Organisation, planning and time management skills 

• Creative approach to problem solving 

• IT literacy 

• A good understanding and experience of the tire and battery business

• A flexible approach to work and at least 2-3 years experience in a similar position 

• Holder of a valid car licence 

Responsibilities: Responsible for the operations of the company workshop 

Duties: 

• To ensure smooth and safe running of the workshop and timely repair of vehicles (maintain a proper work flow) 

• Plan and develop work schedules and ensure discipline at work (maintain a harmonious working relationship) 

• Ability to understand and resolve complaints 

• Provide technical advice to customers as and when required 

• Perform surveys on tires when the need arises 

• Submit daily, weekly, monthly and yearly performance reports

• Provide training as and when needed 

• Experience in handling warranty claims 

• Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly serviced 

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (OSHA)

• Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner 

• Ensure quality checks and control on vehicles before delivery
