Storekeeper

Are you reliable, organized, and hands-on? QBL is looking for a Storekeeper to efficiently manage inventory and ensure the smooth operation of our store and stockroom. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, this is the role for you!

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Operate store functions across all stock categories and respective locations.
• Take deliveries of all incoming materials and reconcile with Purchase Orders.
• Ensure timely issue of stock items across multifunctional departments (including Diesel-Fuel) and process entries on the system in a timely manner.
• Track documents & resolve any discrepancies on received orders.
• Ensure accuracy of the inventory by updating records of frequent physical stock inventory.
• Manage Inventory and ensure they are within established minimum and maximum permissible levels.
• Keep up to date records of receipts and withdrawal from stock.
• Proper filing and recordings.
• Defects, damaged stock management as per company policy.
• Preparation of stock reports.
• Preparation of risks reports.
• Disposal of expired / obsolete stock as per company policy.
• Ensure FEFO / FIFO principles are observed all the time.
• Ensure all store operations comply with the health and safety regulations.
• Ensure regular housekeeping and tidiness across all store locations including container(s) which are used to keep stock.
• Perform any other cognate duties as delegated by superiors.

✅ Candidate Requirements:

• High school certificate or equivalent; vocational training is a plus
• Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory Clerk, or similar role
• Familiarity with inventory software and stock control systems
• Good physical condition and ability to lift and move items as needed
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and a proactive work attitude
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards
