Assist in the day to day operations of the HR functions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the day to day operations of the HR functions
- Ensure onboarding of new team members is done in a professional manner by emphasising new joiners receive all relevant information on their first day of joining the company
- Ensure new joiners submit all relevant documents to the HR on their first day of joining and follow up on the pending documents
- Prepare contracts of employment, job description, team member manual etc.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the team
- Compile and update team members records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to HR activities (recruitment, training, grievances, probation review, performance evaluations, etc.)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, surveys, etc.) and take minutes of meeting
- Deal with team member requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation - time keeping by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures as per pre-established process
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired team members
- Assist in all welfare initiatives - TEWF, inter-hotel activities and others
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 6 months to 1 year experience in an HR office environment
- Good knowledge of Sicorax HRMS / Kelio
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowePoint
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- HSC or equivalent
- Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- Sound knowledge of emloyment law and remuneration order
- High level of integrity
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Creative and innovative / ability to think outside the box
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French languages
- Willingness to work odd hours / Sunday / Public Holiday as and when required
- A clean certificate of character is a must
- Prior hospitality experience will be an added advantage
