Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will perform all maintenance duties.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building maintenance duties, including mechanical repairs, hand sealing, painting,   minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to       supervisor.
  • Comply with all food safety quality and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain continuous water supply, including taps and toilets.
  • Oversee the maintenance of lockers, trolley bins, curtains, windows, doors, and stools.
  • Ensure proper functioning of fly-killing devices and emergency lights.
  • Conduct verification, upkeep, and repair of all site equipment and buildings.
  • Liaise with suppliers for repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Carry out general repairs as required.
  • Design a Preventive Maintenance Programme and ensure compliance to the programme.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Keep tools and spare parts secure and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Officer for purchase orders and ensure optimal stock level.
  • Ensure contractors complete required documentation, including work permits and visitor   questionnaires.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualification & Competencies:-

  • knowledge of maintenance and repair work in mechanical systems and electrical fields, plumbing     and carpentry (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours.
