The Maintenance Support will play a key role in keeping our workplace running smoothly. You help ensure that our buildings, equipment, and facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for everyone who works here.

 

The Maintenance Support will play a key role in keeping our workplace running smoothly. You will help ensure that our buildings, equipment, and facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for everyone who works here.

 

Responsibility
  • Work with external contractors to support maintenance activities.
  • Assist with routine upkeep of buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Carry out minor repair tasks such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
  • Perform regular facility checks and report anything that needs attention.
  • Contribute to preventive maintenance to avoid future issues.
  • Set up rooms, furniture, or equipment for meetings, events, and office changes.
  • Keep an eye on the condition and cleanliness of offices, common areas, storerooms, and surrounding spaces.
  • Coordinate with service providers as needed.
  • Maintain tools and supplies in an organised and secure way.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests from team members.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures during your tasks.
  • Assist with urgent repairs and other facility‑related duties when required.

Profile
  • Minimum School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Training or certification in electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance is an advantage.
  • Experience in office building maintenance is a plus.
  • 1–2 years in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of building maintenance and repair tools.
  • Hands‑on skills in minor electrical, plumbing, painting, or carpentry tasks.
  • Able to spot issues early and escalate when needed.
  • Works well independently and in a team.
  • Manages time well and responds quickly to requests.
  • Basic skills in record‑keeping.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Reliable, proactive, detail‑oriented, and helpful.
  •  Stays calm and productive under pressure.
  • A valid Mauritian driver’s licence is an advantage (not required).
