We are seeking a Maintenance Associate to support the upkeep of company infrastructure, carry out repairs, supervise contractors, and monitor maintenance services. The role includes inspections, record keeping, and ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
MUR 33,720 x 850 – 37,970 x 1,020 – 43,070 x 1,440 – 47,390 x 1,820 – 61,950, plus salary compensation at approved rates.
A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution,
or
A Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in the relevant field,
or
An equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board.
3 years of experience in a relevant field for Diploma holders.
1 year of experience in a relevant field for Degree holders.
Experience in maintenance works and infrastructure upkeep.
Good technical and troubleshooting skills.

The Maintenance Associate will be responsible for the following:
Attend promptly to complaints and resolve defects.
Ensure the proper functioning of BFSL projects and infrastructure.
Ensure that company premises are kept clean and that health and safety standards are observed.
Ensure that the company’s infrastructural facilities are maintained in good condition.
Conduct regular inspections to detect faults or damages.
Liaise with contractors for minor works, maintenance, and repairs, and supervise works carried out.
Monitor maintenance contracts and maintain records of all maintenance works.
Ensure that handling equipment is kept in good condition and implement preventive maintenance programmes.
Undertake emergency repairs prior to full repairs by contractors.
Carry out minor repairs, upgrading works, and maintenance activities.
Take monthly utility meter readings (water, electricity, etc.).
Monitor cleaning contracts and supervise cleaning works.
Monitor security services and liaise with contractors regarding security systems on the company premises.
Assist in the transfer of office furniture and equipment, including arranging transport services from external contractors.
Ensure proper upkeep and inventory management of tools supplied by the company.
Monitor pest control services and follow up with contractors.
Conduct regular checks for damages caused by termites, rats, ants, or other pests.
Attend to emergency works (checks and repairs) outside normal working hours when required.
Maintain records and prepare reports and returns as required.
Prepare tender documents, analyse quotations, and make written recommendations for the selection of contractors or suppliers.
Update and maintain the Asset Register regularly.
Prepare tender documents for infrastructural projects and procurement of building-related equipment.
Perform any other duties directly related to the role or required to ensure effective delivery of expected outputs and results.
