About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and stability of core enterprise IT platforms. This is a hands-on IT operations role, focused on service reliability, infrastructure management, and team leadership—not consulting or project delivery.
You will manage a team of IT professionals and be accountable for the availability, performance, and security of cloud, on-premise, and enterprise application infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead and manage a team delivering internal IT and infrastructure services
- Ensure stable, reliable, and SLA-aligned IT service delivery
- Act as the main escalation point for major incidents and service disruptions
- Plan workloads, support rotas, and escalation processes
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of:
- Enterprise productivity and identity platforms
- Cloud infrastructure services (compute, networking, backups, DR)
- On-premise infrastructure (servers, virtualisation, storage, networking)
- ERP technical platforms (availability, performance, backups, upgrades)
- Manage patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation
Vendor & ERP Infrastructure Coordination
- Manage technical infrastructure supporting ERP systems
- Coordinate with internal teams, application specialists, and external service providers
- Manage vendor performance against operational and contractual expectations
Governance, Security & Continuity
- Own incident, problem, and change management processes
- Maintain operational procedures and runbooks
- Support IT security controls, audits, and compliance requirements
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
Required Experience & Skills
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or service management
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise productivity platforms (email, identity, collaboration)
- Windows-based enterprise environments
- On-premise infrastructure (servers, virtualisation, storage, networking)
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure services
- Experience managing internal IT services (not purely consulting or project-based)
- Proven team leadership and people management experience
- Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers
Desirable
- Experience managing ERP technical environments (infrastructure, hosting, DR)
- Exposure to ITIL or structured IT service management practices
- Experience in managed services or multi-entity environments
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts
