Head of Department Concrete Repairs (2522-HODCR)

Our client in the construction field is seeking to recruit a Head of Department Concrete Repairs who will report to the Director. The incumbent will be responsible for leading projects on the sites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from inception, ensuring cost control and operational efficiency.
• Identify and secure new job opportunities to ensure departmental continuity and profitability.
• Manage the entire department, including planning, coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise on-site activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
• Oversee both employees and contractors, ensuring productivity and compliance.
• Analyze material usage, manage costs, and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Quote for potential clients, build a strong client portfolio, and meet sales targets.
• Introduce new ideas, promote inter-departmental collaboration, and represent the department’s capabilities.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field is typically expected.
• Certifications in project management, concrete technology, or repair techniques are advantageous.
• At least 5 years' experience in a construction field and in a leadership role managing concrete repair.
• Strong organisation and planning skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
