HRIS & Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
The HRIS & Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst plays a critical role within the company’s Group Human Resources function. The role is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the Group’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), as well as the design, development, and maintenance of HR analytics and Power BI dashboards. The role serves as a key point of contact between employees, HR, internal stakeholders, and the HRIS provider, ensuring system reliability, data accuracy, and actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
A) HRIS Administration & Support
- Act as the primary HRIS administrator for the Group.
- Manage HRIS configurations, user access, roles, and system security.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all HR modules.
- Respond to employee queries related to HRIS.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with the HRIS provider to resolve functional or technical problems.
- Support HRIS upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployments.
- Maintain HRIS documentation, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and data protection standards applicable in Mauritius.
B) Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Work closely with HR teams and business stakeholders across the Group to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
- Translate business and HR needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Proactively act as a trusted advisor on HR data, reporting standards, and analytics best practices.
C) Power BI & HR Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain HR Power BI dashboards aligned with the Group reporting needs.
- Build data models, datasets, and visualizations covering key HR metrics such as but not limited to headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, learning, and performance.
- Ensure dashboards are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with governance and security requirements.
- Validate and reconcile HRIS data with reporting outputs to ensure reliability of insights.
D) Support, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for HR dashboards and reports.
- Monitor data refreshes, performance, and usage of Power BI solutions.
- Address data issues and continuously improve dashboard functionality and usability.
- Support ad-hoc HR data analysis and reporting requests as required.
E) HR Project Support
- Support and assist the HR Project Manager in the delivery of HR-related projects across the Group.
- Assist with project planning, requirements gathering, implementation, monitoring and documentation.
- Prepare project-related reports, dashboards, and status updates as required.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
