We are seeking a reliable Driver/Messenger to provide safe transport, deliver correspondence, maintain vehicles, and support office operations. The role requires a valid driving licence, good organisational skills, and the ability to assist with administrative and reception duties.

 

Reporting Line

The selected candidate will report to the HR & Administration Specialist and will not have any supervisory responsibilities.

 

Salary

MUR 19,760 x 350 – 21,510 x 430 – 23,660 x 550 – 26,410 x 680 – 27,770 x 850 – 37,120, plus salary compensation at approved rates.

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements

Qualifications

  • Ability to read up to PSAC level.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in a relevant field with a clean driving record.

Relevant Field Includes

  • Holding a valid driving licence to drive cars, vans and buses.

 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Good organisation and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Basic written and spoken English and French.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Driving company motor vehicles efficiently by day and night in strict compliance with road traffic regulations.

  • Ensuring the assigned vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and in good running condition.

  • Maintaining and updating vehicle logbooks.

  • Reporting any vehicle defects or issues to the responsible officer.

  • Opening and closing office premises when required.

  • Cleaning office premises, including furniture and office equipment.

  • Dispatching and collecting letters and correspondence.

  • Preparing and serving tea, coffee, and other refreshments.

  • Monitoring the premises during business hours, welcoming visitors and directing them accordingly.

  • Providing support at the reception desk as and when required.

  • Operating photocopying machines.

  • Performing any other duties directly related to the role or required for the effective delivery of expected outputs and results.
