BDO IT Consulting Ltd is currently seeking for a motivated Data Protection Analysts to be part of our integrated team of data protection experts. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the team in data protection projects and trainings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise clients on the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 ("DPA");
- Assist clients by performing assessments, reviewing the assessments' results obtained and elaborating mitigation strategies;
- Assist in drafting policies, procedures and contracts for clients in line with data protection laws and industry best practices;
- Deliver data protection trainings including training on our toolkit;
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable national and international data protection laws and regulations;
- Conduct pragmatic research related to all aspects of personal data protection;
- Any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
- Knowledge of data protection laws and practices, including GDPR
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Good interpersonal skills and takes a methodical and systematic approach to work;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), particularly the ability to interpret and transform complex legislation and policies into effective and clear language aimed at target audiences;
- Quick learner, eager to learn new skills and apply them quickly to produce results;
- Self-starter and ability to act independently;
- Self-motivated and good planner:
- Strong attention to detail.
