Embark on a journey with the Catering BU and seize this opportunity to be part of a team, which plays a key role in the planning, and preparation of meals for employees on a daily basis and during events/cocktails held in the restaurant. Coordination of these daily requests contribute to the smooth running of our businesses activities.

We are on the lookout for:

Job vacancy: Cook 

Your responsibility will be to prepare meals for employees according to the daily menu.

In this role you will,

  • Prepare allocated meals in line with instructions from your superior to produce high-quality meals promptly according to the menu;
  • Assist on ingredients request planning, quantity of food to prepare, ingredients to buy and order from suppliers;
  • Assist in elaborating new dishes;
  • Keep kitchen environment to the highest hygiene standards to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others;
  • Assist internal/external auditors and Administrative Team in stocktaking of goods;
  • Prepare food in time according to menu and to the satisfaction of employees;
  • Ensure strict adherence to customer service standards in preparation of meals;
  • Gain greater exposure to relevant techniques and processes for enhancing proficiency.

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations;
  • Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances;
  • Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of

  • A minimum of School Certificate (SC)
  • A professional qualification in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or an equivalent field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in Food Production in Hotel/Restaurant/Bar environment/Catering field;
  • A valid Food Handlers certificate.
