The Compliance Analyst supports the Compliance Officer and MLRO in ensuring the company’s adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing AML/CFT, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
We are a leading Offshore Management Company, member of an International Organisation, located in Ebene. Our organisation is currently searching for a Compliance Analyst.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure periodical review of corporate files to verify ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct screening of clients, beneficial owners, and related parties in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including sanctions and PEP checks.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and propose remedial measures to mitigate exposure.
- Monitor and report on employees’ adherence to client policies and procedures, including by carrying out periodic compliance audits.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in assessing the effectiveness of the client’s compliance programme and advising on measures to reduce compliance risk.
- Liaise with business departments regarding KYC requirements for client onboarding, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in ongoing transaction monitoring activities, including the review and escalation of alerts.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in the preparation for regulatory inspections and visits, including the collation of relevant documentation.
- Monitor changes in relevant legal requirements and other regulatory developments which may impact the company, and advise the Compliance Officer accordingly.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in developing and implementing compliance training programmes for staff.
- Carry out any other such tasks as may be required in the course of duty
Qualification & Skills Required :
- BSC Law and Management or other relevant qualification
- Good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations for Global Business with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within agreed deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant legal and regulatory framework (e.g., FIAMLA, FSA, FIAML Regulations, FATF Recommendations
- Good interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with compliance software is an advantage.
