Accounts Manager (2523-ACMGR)

Our client in the ICT Sector is looking for an Accounts Manager. The incumbent will ensure strong accounting, overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing sound financial advice to the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all the accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation of operating financial data of the company.
• Ensure that all financial statements are complete, accurate and are compliant with the generally accepted accounting principles and any industry standards that apply to the industry the company is involved.
• Managing teams to co-ordinate and deliver on internal and external reporting requirements and ensuring that all reporting requirements are met.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of budgets and financial reporting.
• Assist in coordinating the annual audit engagement with both the internal and external auditors, ensuring audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Monitor and enhance compliance controls, structures, and automated processes to ensure effective management of the company’s overall compliance and financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied.
• Lead, plan, co-ordinate and manage the work of company accounting team, including the development of their skills & knowledge of team members. Create a conducive environment where the team can perform optimally.

Profile:

• ACCA Qualified/ ACA.
• At least 8 to10 years of experience with a proven strong financial and technical accounting background.
• Experience in auditing would be an advantage.
