Overall Purpose:

Ensures strong accounting and reporting of Leal Equipements Cie Ltée (member of Leal Group), including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing sound financial advice to the management team.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budget reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports, financial statements, as well as making appropriate recommendations.

Monitor and provide financial analysis and support to the GCFO’s /GDCFO on business transactions and departmental performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with departmental staff, manage all the accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation of operating financial data of Leal Equipements Cie Ltée.
• Ensures that all financial statements are complete, accurate and are compliant to the generally accepted accounting principles and any accounting standards that apply to the industry.
• Managing teams to ensure that all reporting requirements are met for all internal and external reporting.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of budgets and financial reporting.
• Coordinates the annual audit engagement with both the internal and external auditors, ensuring audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Monitoring and enhancing compliance controls, structures, and automated processes to ensure effective management of the company’s overall compliance and financial controls.
• Lead, plan, co-ordinate and manage the work of Leal Equipements Cie Ltée’s accounting team, including the development of their skills & knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Post graduate degree in accounting or ACCA Qualified/ ACA.
• At least 5 years of experience with a proven strong financial and technical accounting background.
• Experience in auditing would be an advantage.
