The Lead Staff – Tendering Division shall be responsible for preparation and submission of Tenders for Materials component.

Duties and Responsibilities

The scope of works has been broadly defined but not limited to the following:-

• Review of tender doc. / bill of quantities and highlight key issues.
• Read carefully technical specifications and highlight main points.
• Assist the SPO in the preparation of queries in view of clarifying issues not clear in the tender doc.
• Take off BOQ of materials / prepare bill schedules
• Perform Site Surveys if need be
• Assist SPO with Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation.
• Send Request for quotation to suppliers and follow up.
• Analyse Price Offer and request for clarifications from Suppliers if need be.
• Verify logistics requirement and seek quote if need be.
• Assist the SPO for evaluating the risk involved in terms of FOREX and Raw materials.
• Prepare Material Price Estimates and analysis for onward verification by SPO.
• Prepare tender submission document (material component only) for onward verification by SPO.
• Assist SPO with reply to queries by external clients.
• Assist the SPO in the preparation of Pre – Tender Negotiations

Requirements and Qualifications

• B.Eng Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Construction (Site Work)
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of construction Materials
• Valid Driving License
