The Technical Sales Engineer shall be responsible for the sales of all the company's workshop engineering products ans services. He shall also be responsible for customers/prospects needs analysis, preparing quotations, liaising with suppliers etc.
Responsibilities:
. Identify, develop and evaluate a sales strategy based on knowledge of the company objectives, market characteristics and cost factors
. Establish annual, monthly and weekly sales plans
. Understand clients' needs on fast track engineering (repair/workshop related) jobs
. Identify new revenue generation opportunities that enhance and promote the company's business
. Initiate market research studies/competitor analysis
. Establish and maintain sales budget
. Perform analysis and reporting of job costing
. Carry out quarterly review of sales progress regarding customers and programs and report ot Sales Manager
. Perform sales and marketing activities on prospective clients including client discussions, presentations and negotiations and work/follow on towards closure of prospects/opportunities/deals in favour of the company
. Lead client networking/proposal pitches/client presentations and other sales and marketing activities for prospective clients
. Conduct regular customer visits to build long term relationships
. Introduce new programs and service concepts to customers
. Advise clients on best welding procedure schedule
. Provide top level sales approach to clients
. Ensure timely preparation of quotations for clients' jobs with necessary follow up on requirements, payments and resolution of queries
. Ensure delivery of jobs within time frame and as per quality requirements
. Provide after sales follow up to ensure clients' satisfaction
. Monitor customer accounts
. Monthly reports on debtors
. Monthly reports on hit rate
Profile:
. Advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field + on the job training in workshop or on site
. Diploma in Sales
. At least 5 years' experience in similar position
. Proficient presentation and communication skills
. Technical and process knowledge in related industries/areas
. Technical knowledge in workmanship
. Ability to build relationship
