3. What you'll do
You'll make sure production runs smoothly, profitably and to high standards. You'll work with a wide range of textiles.
Your day-to-day duties will  include:
•    working with design and sales teams, buyers.
•    quality control
•    visiting factories and managing orders for the shops and for outside customers
•    attending conferences and exhibitions to build contacts
•    dealing with suppliers local and overseas
•    setting and checking quality standards, prices and delivery times
•    Supervise the company’s factories.
•    Making sure goods are produced to the right quantity and quality, and at the right price and time.
•    Developing schedules and managing production
           You may be on call for out-of-hours problems or to meet production deadlines.

You will spend time in office and also spend time in a factory, working with staff and supervisors. You might travel overseas to manage the supply of raw materials and production from other countries.
To do this role, you will need to:
•    know about production processes
•    work under pressure to meet deadlines
•    have good IT and numeracy skills
•    be willing to travel
•    have good problem-solving skills
•    have excellent management skills
•    manage a budget
Make sure goods produced meet the customer's satisfaction, in terms of quantity, quality, time and cost.
Oversee the production process, communicate with suppliers about the quality, price, delivery times and ethical standards of the items.
Plan, monitor and alter production schedules and deal with production faults and issues.
