Our client, a service provider, is looking for an Information Security Administrator.
Our client, a service provider, is looking for an Information Security Administrator.
The successful candidate will manage all IT-related security and safety issues within the company; develop systems and policies, oversee the implementation of procedures to secure both company and customer data.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyse and define security requirements for local and wide area networks.
- Implement systems aimed towards the prevention of malware infections of company computer hardware.
- Develop the company’s written official guidelines for how it deals with information and communication (define what files, e-mails, or digital assets may be shared across work groups, etc.).
- Update secure configurations by routinely reviewing vendor sites, bulletins, and notifications for security information.
- Recertify application, platform, and server security periodically.
- Plan, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot internal information technology security policies, application security, access control, and corporate data safeguards.
- Analyse and shore up any possible vulnerabilities, and must be aware of any unusual activity and react swiftly to prevent or mitigate breaches.
- Provide technical advice on access control, security models, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and security awareness training.
- Implement stability and security procedures regarding malware in the company’s information hardware; installation, upgrading, and improvement of malware detection and prevention software across the entire company and implement policies for firewalls and site-blocking.
Qualification:
- Minimum 3-4 years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Professional certification or experience in IT Security / Cyber Security field would be a definite advantage (indicate if currently training towards certification).
- Degree in ICT / Computer Science Engineering.
Candidate profile:
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to function within /lead an in-house Incident Response Team.
- Windows server administration, Cisco technologies, VMware and other security products.
- Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls.
- Commitment and Collaboration.
- Analysis and innovation.
- Good planning, organisation skills and good analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise, schedule workload and to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours to meet deadlines.
