DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consult the Kitchen Chef to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as cost and special event needs.
• Prepare and cook food following set receipts and instructions given by the superior.
• Maintain and order stocks and supplies.
• Ensure food is stored properly for safety and space efficiency.
• Attend multiple orders and pay attention to special requests.
• Observe and test food to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
• Be mindful about presentation of food served to waiters.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Estimate expected food consumption by using requisition or purchase supplies.
• Any other cognate duties related to your work.
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE:
• Holds at least a School Certificate.
• A minimum of one year working experience in the kitchen department.
• Demonstrates interest in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Basic food preparation skills, cleaning and maintenance skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work flexible hours.
