The DevOps Engineer will have to ensure the delivery of quality software solutions.He/she will use off the shelf and custom developed software tools to identify performance bottlenecks in the software and/or database scheme which are then addressed by the development team.

The MultiCountry development unit has been founded to give more focus to the multicountry development and partner integration. The main focus is oriented to building solutions and integrations with payroll/HR systems and partner products.

Inter alia:

• Building an integration platform with public API for SD Worx payroll engines
• Connecting HR systems
• Centralized international reporting

Essential Functions

• Essential Duties:
  • Implement automated performance tests by using available tools (proprietary or open source) and by developing dedicated software
  • Root cause analysis of performance issues and drive resolution – be creative in finding testing methods
  • Apply technical knowledge, skills and expertise to implement performance testing
  • Based upon performance results provide input with respect to design of data warehouse (e.g. optimize database scheme, SQL optimization, number of database servers)
  • Accurate recording of time, effort and schedule related activities via trackers
  • Good communication skills to achieve excellent customer service
  • Escalate to Team Lead and/or Lead Engineer if needed, on risks/issues identified which impact project delivery schedule
  • Take ownership and do follow up on project/s assigned
  • Creation of documentation with respect to development, tests, test setup and test results
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of other personnel is maybe required in this position and these include:
    • Provide work direction and guidance to junior team members: ensure accuracy of the work of team members via coaching and reviewing, their ability to operate under deadlines and to work on multiple tasks
    • Provide effective team collaboration to rapidly progress projects
    • Provide training to junior team members
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and capture within the team

• Development/Testing
  • Work efficiently on development tasks in accordance with the client and project needs and methodology standards
  • Perform code reviews independently, assist in developing revisions and log defects/deficiencies
  • Ensure code satisfies design specifications and complies with project standards
  • Fix all detected errors in accordance with agreed schedule
  • Check that effort/schedule estimates are realistic and once committed upon, these are being met.

Educational / Skill / Experience Requirements

• Education/Experience/Interests
  • Degree holder in IT
  • At least 2-4 years’ experience in software development and database/ORM technology
  • Experience in Devops/CI/CD team
  • Experience on performance tools. Example Load Runner, VSTS
  • Development of automation scripts (e.g. C#, Powershell, Python)
  • Strong interest in automated testing side of devops workflow to ensure and control the quality and performance of the software
  • Knowledge of automated testing
  • Interest in scenario driven tests and development of such tests
  • Interested in infrastructure (webserver, database server) setup on which the software runs

• Skill/Experience:
