Core Responsibilities
1. Creative Design & Execution
- Conceptualise and produce high-quality design solutions across brand identity, print, digital, packaging, campaigns, and environmental design
- Lead creative development on key brands, owning the visual direction from brief to delivery
- Design across multiple formats: brand guidelines, marketing collateral, social media, digital ads, presentations, editorial, signage, and more
- Ensure all design output adheres to brand standards and meets the highest quality benchmarks
- Manage file architecture, asset libraries, and handover packages to a professional standard
2. Strategy & Creative Thinking
- Interpret and interrogate briefs to ensure design solutions address underlying business objectives
- Contribute to creative strategy sessions
- Research and present creative references, moodboards, and conceptual directions
- Stay ahead of design trends, emerging tools, and industry best practice
- Challenge creative boundaries and bring fresh, original thinking to every project
3. Stakeholder Management
- Present design concepts confidently to internal clients, articulating rationale clearly and persuasively
- Manage internal client feedback professionally, balancing creative integrity with commercial requirements
4. Project & Team Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines without compromising quality
- Brief and collaborate with copywriters, motion designers, developers, and photographers
- Review and quality-check work from junior team members, providing clear, constructive feedback
5. Mentorship & Team Development
- Act as a creative mentor to junior and mid-level designers, providing guidance on craft, process, and professional development
- Lead internal creative reviews and debrief sessions
- Share knowledge and inspiration across the team through design talks, resources, and peer learning
- Support recruitment by reviewing portfolios and participating in interviews when required
Skills and Requirements
Essential
- 5+ years of graphic design experience, ideally within a creative or branding agency
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating excellence across brand, print, and digital
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Experience in packaging, environmental, or wayfinding design
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships
- Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to develop original creative ideas
- Excellent typographic knowledge and layout skills
- Ability to manage multiple briefs and meet deadlines
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and uncompromising standards of output quality
Desirable
- Experience with motion graphics or animation (After Effects)
- Familiarity with digital design tools (Figma, Sketch, or similar)
- Understanding of web design principles and digital production
