The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing all inventory movements, stock control, and warehouse operations. The role includes inventory analysis, stock optimization, and reporting, ensuring efficient stock levels, minimizing obsolete inventory, and supporting business decision-making.
The Main responsibilities are as follows:
Inventory Control & Stock Management:
- Manage all incoming, outgoing, and returned stock.
- Verify supplier deliveries against purchase documents (invoices, delivery notes).
- Ensure accurate Goods Received Notes (GRN) and system entries.
- Maintain minimum stock levels and trigger replenishment when required.
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organization of inventory.
Stock Movements & Operations:
- Process and validate stock issuance based on approved requests.
- Ensure all “delivery notes” or “issue slips” are accurate (product code, description, quantity).
- Handle stock transfers between locations accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate preparation of materials for dispatch.
- Ensure all deliveries are complete, accurate, and in good condition.
- Safely operate forklift when required for loading, unloading containers, and storing goods within the warehouse.
Inventory Accuracy & Control:
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all stock-related transactions.
Stock Returns Management:
- Inspect returned goods for condition and accuracy.
- Process returns in the system (POS/ERP).
- Coordinate with the Accounting department for credit notes and proper recording.
Inventory Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor stock aging and identify slow-moving and obsolete items.
- Analyse historical data to highlight:
- Products with low turnover over 1, 3, or 5 years.
- Overstocked or underperforming items.
- Provide regular reports to management with recommendations:
- Stock reduction strategies
- Disposal or liquidation of obsolete stock
- Purchasing adjustments
- Track key inventory KPIs (turnover rate, aging, stock coverage, dead stock).
- Support management in forecasting and demand planning.
Team Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse/store team.
- Plan and allocate tasks to ensure efficiency and timely execution.
- Monitor team performance and ensure strict compliance with stock control procedures.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy in stock handling and documentation.
- Identify performance issues and take corrective action or escalate when necessary
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products
- Maintain warehouse safety standards and procedures
- Minimize risks, damages, and stock losses
The ideal Candidate should possess:
- 3–5 years experience in warehouse or store management
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP and POS systems
- Ability to supervise and manage a team
- Forklift License (Mandatory)
- Good communication and organizational skills
