This role will be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis to ensure effective financial management within the hospital.

 

What you will be doing: 
• Prepare Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analyses for capital expenditure and investment projects to support management decisions.
• Analyse and report on the profitability of hospital activities, specialties, procedures, and service packages.
• Compile and submit financial data for budgets, forecasts, reforecasts, MIS reports, and Board packs.
• Perform cost analysis and monitor departmental expenses to support cost control and operational efficiency.
• Conduct stock and inventory analytics to monitor consumption trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor revenue performance and identify variances against budget and forecast.
• Analyse patient billing and service revenues to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
• Prepare financial dashboards and performance reports for management review.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to analyse financial performance and resource utilisation.
• Monitor key financial indicators such as cost per patient, revenue per specialty, and departmental profitability.
• Assist in the evaluation of new services, equipment purchases, and business development initiatives.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used for reporting and analysis.
• Support finance management in strategic planning and financial decision-making.
What are we looking for?
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
· Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CFA (or in progress) will be an advantage.
· 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or financial planning, preferably in the healthcare sector.
· Strong knowledge of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
· Knowledge of hospital financial operations, billing systems, and cost structures would be an advantage.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
· Good communication and presentation skills to explain financial insights to management.
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
