Job Profile
We are looking for a dynamic ICT Technician who will support the organisation’s technology infrastructure by ensuring the smooth installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of IT systems and equipment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out installation and assembling equipment and accessories to the state of the art.
- Testing hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems.
- Install and configure new IT equipment.
- Assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
- Provide first and second level trouble shooting support for the organisation’s internal applications.
- Perform regular security patching and ensure all endpoints and systems follow secure configuration baselines.
- Monitor system, network, and endpoint security alerts and escalate potential incidents to senior IT or security teams.
- Assist in administering endpoint protection platforms (EDR/AV), email security tools, and access control policies.
- Educate users on cybersecurity best practices, phishing awareness, and password hygiene.
- Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the HOD.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Networking or any other related field.
- At least 2 years’ proven working experience in a similar role.
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude
- Knowledge of the essentials of networking issues, like network access and IP services.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Result oriented.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Good team player.
- Good verbal and written communication in both English and French.
