Technician (Ecoasis)

We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Technician to support the operation and maintenance of a chiller plant comprising chillers, pumps, and air handling units (AHUs). The technician will perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance, minor repairs, and assist specialized teams as needed. The role also requires hands-on knowledge of basic tools and techniques in plumbing, painting, grinding, and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and servicing of chillers, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, and AHUs.
• Perform regular cleaning of AHUs and duct filters to ensure optimal air quality and equipment performance.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing valves, and clearing drainage lines.
• Use hand and power tools to carry out repairs, adjustments, and minor installations.
• Carry out minor painting, grinding, and surface preparation works as required.
• Support mechanical technicians in replacing parts such as gaskets, seals, belts, and filters.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and report to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in clean and working condition.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
• Assist in emergency breakdown repairs and system troubleshooting.
• Welding tasks as required (if skilled).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of a school-leaving certificate or equivalent technical diploma preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or general maintenance.
• Proficiency in using hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) and power tools (drill, grinder, etc.).
• Basic understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with safety practices and PPE usage.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings is a plus.
• Knowledge of welding is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, and working in hot or confined space
