A Head Bartender is a senior member of the bartending team responsible for overseeing bar operations, managing other bartenders, and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Beverage Knowledge: Provide expertise on wines, spirits, and mixed drinks, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods. Maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
- Service Excellence: Ensure proper pouring, mixing, and blending of drinks. Serve beverages to guests and fulfill orders for Food and Cocktail Servers.
- Supervision and Communication: Supervise bar service to offer high-quality, efficient beverage service. Act as the face of the outlet, liaising with the kitchen and guests to ensure a smooth and memorable experience.
- Menu Mastery: Know the menu and product thoroughly, making recommendations that reflect your expertise as a senior bar professional.
- Training Sessions: Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring practices, cocktail mixing, and up-selling.
