Maintain the system and technical aspects of the hotel in good running condition by curative and preventive planned maintenance.
- Coordinate day-to-day engineering requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for colleagues
- Establish procedures and monitor all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance
- Supervise all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises.
- Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management
- Ensure efficient use of resources including spares & store issues
- Ensure the status of repairs and pending costs are documented and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement
- Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedures and cleaning of all equipments
- Conduct team meeting regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment
- Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels
- Implement and carry out maintenance program in accordance with established timeframes
- Document regular inspections of plant and equipment
- Ensure that appropriate files are maintained and resources are kept for future reference
- Verify daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day
- Assist superior in preparing annual budget and controlling expenditure accordingly
- Explore and incorporate environmentally friendly initiatives
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by Management.
