Our client, in the BPO sector, is looking for an SQL and Applications Developer.

Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will be responsible to work closely with the Operational / Reporting team to automate all reports.

Main responsibilities:

• To automate operational, statistical reports and re-engineer process flows.
• Automate and develop Internal Applications for the company.
• Assist the Systems Administrator, IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager and the Head of IT in the daily maintenance of the Server / Network Infrastructure as and when needed.
• Create, maintain, optimize stored procedures and databases.
• Work with all levels of development from analysis through implementation and support.
• Interact with report owners to establish and clarify their requirements and develop report specifications.
• Resolve end user reporting problems through collaboration with Operations.
• Automate Operation Reports.
• Optimizing internal processes and procedures.
• Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting.
• Suggest enhancements and escalation concerns appropriately to diagnose and remediate underlying system problems.
• Determine the importance of problems and act accordingly, within procedures.
• Provide day to day functional support of the company Network / Server Infrastructure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

• Strong knowledge of SQL/MS SQL relational databases and their declarative query languages
• Good knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript
• Strong experience in VBA, VB or VB.NET/ASP.NET
• Experience in System Administration/Network Administration will be an advantage
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Software Development

Candidate profile:

• Programming views, stored procedures, and functions
• Excellent requirements analysis, coding, testing and documentation abilities.
• Good exposure to object oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Server Technology (e.g.; Windows / SQL Server)
• Intermediate to advanced level of writing stored procedures, tuning indexes and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to transform business requirements into programming specifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
