Our Client is seeking to recruit a Purchasing Manager for its operation.
Responsibilities:
. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand, along with the Sales Department and plan sourcing accordingly
. Determine quantity and lead time of deliveries
. Assess, manage and mitigate risks during purchasing and shipment procedures
. Perform comparative costing, scenario analysis and price benchmarking
. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
. Improve and diversify sourcing network for existing and new product ranges.
. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements of documentation
. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
. Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
. Develop dynamic and regular reporting tools for management
Profile:
. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
. At least 5 years proven working experience as Purchasing Manager
. Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills, Persuasive
. Knowledge of the paper industry is desirable
. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
. Very familiar with import and export procedures and transit practices
. Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
. Proven skills in negociations and networking
. Working experience on ERP: Navision, Quickbook or other
. Ability to gather, filter and analyse data
. Solid judgement competencies along with decision making skills
. Strong leadership capabilities
