Our Client is seeking to recruit a Maitre d'hotel for its operation in Seychelles Island
Responsibilities:
. Manage the Restaurant & Bar reservations received through the F&B and Front Office department respectively
. Liaise with guests and visitors confirming details of reservations and of functions
. Liaise with the respective Departments of the Hotel with regards to breakfast, lunch, dinner reservations; functions and any other similar activities with regards to guests’ requirements; Provide a personal service and overall hospitality for the restaurant. While guests are waiting to be seated to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or waiting times. Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitor the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. With large groups ensure that guests are accommodated with required table space; As guests arrive, assess the dining area and, if an accommodating table is available, escorts the guests to the dining room; Take initial drink orders and or give the information to the serving staff; Make necessary changes to the dining room occupancy chart as requested by the F&B Manager;
. Assist in supervising the overall food and beverage service in the restaurant
. Assist the restaurant supervisor with the seating of guests
. Assist in the daily setting up in the Restaurants and other specified locations as management deems fit
. To maintain a high degree of both personal hygiene and grooming at all times
. To assist in carrying out cleaning schedules upon request to ensure that the restaurant is clean and tidy
. To ensure that all service stations are cleaned and in order depending on the theme of the day/evening
. To assist the F&B Manager on improving service standards
. To carry out inventories on the restaurants items upon request
. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned in the interest of the Hotel from time to time
. Ensure that the Restaurant is well maintained and kept clean at all times
. To follow and maintain the standard for mise-en-place and daily pre-opening bar preparation.
. To ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order and to report and fault or breakage immediately to the Restaurant Manager.
. To observe all procedures and guidelines to the good upkeep and maintenance of equipments to mitigate and eliminate loss and theft.
. Perform in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) of the Hotel.
. Perform any other duties as requested by the Restaurant Manager.
Profile:
. Qualification in Hotel and Hospitality Studies or of the equivalent
. Proven training and experience in customer service;
. Previous experience as a Restaurant Hostess or of a similar role
. At least three years successful work experience.
. Knowledge and skills of Restaurant Service
. Experience in the hospitality; Good communication skills; Problem-solving and organizational skills;
. Have unquestionable discretion.
