Performs preparation work for food items for the various outlets and actively participates in all food production areas of the kitchen.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all the preparation work for soups, sauces, salads.
Prepares food items as per instructions
Prepares basic culinary items as per standard recipes
Supplies assigned workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment, for prompt production.
Moves supplies and equipment as and when required.
Verifies that all equipment in the kitchen is clean and in proper working order and reports any equipment in need of repair to Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie.
Performs general cleaning tasks, using hotel cleaning products, as assigned by superior.
Ascertains that floors are dry and clean at all times to avoid slip/fall accidents.
Informs co-workers and stewards of any area to be cleaned.
Stores all food in refrigerated boxes with covers, labels and dates, using the proper containers to protect against waste and spoilage.
