Express & Ground Operations Supervisor

In this role, you will bridge the gap between our objectives and the on-the-ground reality of courier operations. Your mission is to ensure our Express & Ground operations run efficiently, guaranteeing the customer satisfaction that drives our business forward.

 

Drive Customer Excellence

  • Deliver on Promises: Ensure that SOP’s are adhered to for the on-time delivery, collection, and export of shipments to maintain our high customer satisfaction standards.

  • Balance the Workload: Actively monitor daily route progress and workflow, intervening to reroute or balance assignments so that no SLA (Service Level Agreement) is missed.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the operational point of contact to support our Sales and Customer Service teams, providing fast, realistic solutions for clients and urgent ad-hoc requests.

Lead & Empower Our Team

  • Coach & Mentor: Guide, develop, and motivate your direct reports (drivers, sorters, and warehouse staff) to build a high-performing and stable operational team.

  • Drive Tech Adoption: Ensure all team members are fully trained and compliant with new operational systems, software, and handheld tools.

  • Manage Performance: Set clear KPIs (such as scan compliance and delivery success rates) and conduct regular performance reviews to foster continuous improvement.

Daily Operations

  • Maintain Flow: Manage the floor to ensure operations are running smoothly from the morning inbound sort to the evening outbound dispatch, proactively clearing bottlenecks.

  • System Accuracy: Oversee the proper use of warehouse and transportation management technology, ensuring physical inventory matches system data.

  • Quality & Safety: Manage warehouse operations to ensure strict compliance with company quality, health, and safety standards.


Optimize Financial & Resource Efficiency

  • Control Inventory: Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and supplies, ensuring the facility never runs out of critical consumables.

  • Manage Labor Costs: Expertly schedule staff to handle fluctuating daily volumes, minimizing the need for unnecessary overtime while ensuring all operational goals are met.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, or last-mile delivery operations. Previous supervisory or team lead experience is highly preferred.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using and training others on Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and routing software.

  • Analytical Problem Solver: Ability to look at route data and workflow metrics to make quick, efficiency-boosting decisions.

  • Strong Leader: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate blue-collar teams and collaborate with corporate departments.

  • Resilient: Grace under pressure with a natural ability to troubleshoot unexpected daily crises in a time-sensitive environment.



Requirements and skills

  • Minimum HSC .

  • Minimum 3 years’ of experience in on the field of supply chain, logistic and warehousing.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
