Automatic Systems Ltd (ASL), a publicly listed company operating in the betting sector in Mauritius, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to oversee its financial operations and support its financial reporting and governance obligations as a listed entity.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the sound financial management of the Company and will, among others:
- Prepare quarterly abridged report and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s accounting records and financial documentation.
- Manage the Company’s budgeting and financial planning processes and monitor financial performance against approved budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting obligations under the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) Listing Rules and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of the Company’s Annual Report.
- Prepare and present financial reports to Management and the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC).
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls and financial procedures.
- Supervise the finance team and oversee the preparation of financial records, payroll and documentation.
- Ensure the timely submission of statutory returns and tax filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal auditors during the audit process.
- Liaise with financial institutions, regulatory authorities, tax advisors and other stakeholders on financial matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA or part qualified final stages or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a regulated or listed company environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting and corporate governance requirements.
- Knowledge in Sage accounting system would be an advantage.
