The Junior Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, conducting financial analysis, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

 

Job Purpose

The Junior Finance Officer is responsible for the execution of daily tasks to support the Senior Finance Officer and the Team Leader. The Junior Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, conducting financial analysis, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role also involves collaborating with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives and supporting senior finance staff with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.

Main Duties

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Assist with audits and tax filings
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals align with overall business objectives
  • Support senior finance staff with ad-hoc projects and initiatives

Additional Responsibilities for the Junior Finance Officer Position include:

  • Maintain a good client/stakeholder relation.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as allocated by the Senior Finance Officer.

Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • 1+ year of working experience.
  • Degree Holder in Accounting or ACCA Level 1 completed.
  • Communicate by email clearly and free from grammatical error.
  • Excel - Basic formulae, formatting, data tools, Sort & filters.
  • Respond to emails within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Attention to detail and Service Focused
  • Self-Disciplines and Honest
  • Deadline orientated and good working under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and reliable
