Provides efficient and prompt service to guests in accordance with Hotel standards and procedures;
- Certificate from the Hotel School or any other recognised institution
- Train, supervise, and mentor Reception artisan, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards and professionalism.
- leadership skills
- Be computer literate, including, amongst others, a good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and HMS.
- Having a minimum of 2 years experience in the receptionist field will be an advantage.
- Be outgoing and confident, have a pleasant personality, and enjoy dealing with people.
- Fluent in English and French, a third language, will be an advantage.
- Having good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have a good memory of faces, as guests like to be remembered.
- Desire to work in a team and strong willingness to bring his or her own contribution towards the realisation of his or her departmental objectives
- Readiness to perform odd hours of work, including working on Sundays, public holidays, cyclonic days, and special days, i.e., Christmas’ and New Year’s Eve, etc.
