We are looking for an dynamic Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit & Control team based in our Head Office in Mapou.
Overview of the Role:
In this role, you will provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes, by conducting audits, identifying control gaps, and recommending improvements to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and the safeguarding of organisational assets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure discipline is maintained within the team and escalate any disciplinary issues to the Superior/Manager
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations within the department while collaborating closely with operations team members
- Conduct regular audits and continuous reviews of organisational controls, operating procedures, and compliance with internal policies and regulations
- Prepare and issue detailed audit reports outlining findings and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Review and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting, financial, and compliance controls, as well as the timely production of supporting documentation
- Perform ad hoc audits and control reviews as requested by management and report findings accordingly
- Investigate thoroughly any issues raised by team members, management, or customers and provide appropriate feedback and resolution
- Stay up to date with evolving financial regulations, standards, and best practices
- Assess compliance with the internal control framework and relevant policies by performing internal reviews and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Candidate's Profile:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Partly or fully qualified ACCA or equivalent
- Experience in audit, accounting, or related field is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and integrity
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Valid driving license and own vehicle are mandatory
