To lead, structure, and elevate the execution of marketing and communication initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with the objectives of BARNES Mauritius while strengthening brand consistency and impact.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing and communication plans, coordinating internal teams and external partners, and monitoring performance through reporting dashboards.
  • Oversee the production of communication materials (business cards, property brochures, banners, etc.), ensuring high quality and strict brand consistency.
  • Act as the main point of contact for management and consultants on marketing matters, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external partners and agencies, ensuring brand standards are consistently respected across all touchpoints.
  • Manage the website, including content updates (blog, properties, etc.), SEO performance tracking, and monitoring of key KPIs to ensure optimal results.
  • Oversee social media channels by ensuring editorial consistency, supervising content creation and publication, managing Meta ad campaigns, moderating interactions, and tracking performance.
  • Coordinate the production of communication content (photos, videos, articles), including selection of providers, collaboration with sales teams, and quality control.
  • Manage Public Relations by maintaining media relationships, and overseeing the preparation and distribution of press kits and press releases.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of the BARNES Mauritius magazine and digital newsletters, ensuring high-quality and brand-aligned content.
  • Lead and coordinate marketing events and brand partnerships, ensuring strong execution and alignment with brand image.
  • Monitor marketing invoices and budget, liaising with accounting to ensure accurate tracking and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Drive the effective use of the CRM system across the company, ensuring process optimization, user adoption, and data accuracy.
  • Supervise and support the marketing team, overseeing projects, timelines, performance, and providing coaching for development.
  • Participate in management and executive meetings, contributing marketing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field; a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a marketing and communication role or similar, ideally within real estate, property, hospitality, or luxury sectors.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies: 

  • Knowledge of latest marketing and communication trends, techniques and channels. 
  • Knowledge of both B2C and B2B marketing/communication.
  • Excellent writing/ verbal skills in French and English. 

 Behavioural Competencies: 

  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
