We are looking for a dedicated IT Officer to ensure the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of our IT systems.

We are looking for a dedicated IT Officer to ensure the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of our IT systems. The IT Officer will be responsible for providing daily IT support, maintaining systems and networks, ensuring cybersecurity, and assisting users in adopting secure and efficient technology practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Log, track, and update all support requests in the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.
  • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and network devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Oversee hardware and device management, including provisioning, maintenance, lifecycle tracking, and ensuring compliance with IT standards and policies.
  • Setting up and maintaining IT devices and systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain 3CX phone systems.
  • Provide support to users and resolve IT-related problems efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage network infrastructure including routers, APs and switches.
  • Hardware and device management, including provisioning, maintenance, lifecycle tracking, and ensuring compliance with IT standards and policies.
  • Enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain system integrity.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Document system configuration, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support activities.
  • Assist in planning and executing IT projects such as upgrade, migration, and installations.
  • Maintain clear communication with end users regarding the status of requests and provide guidance on IT best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology, computer science or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support.
  • Ability to document processes and follow IT governance procedures.
  • Knowledge in installation and configuration of Windows Operating System.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLANs).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and basic IT security practices.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and perform under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
