Agriterra is looking for a Quality Controller – Food Safety & Social Compliance to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Terra Milling Ltd’s Quality and Social Management System. 

In this role, you will help ensure that our products meet the highest food safety, quality, and ethical standards while promoting a culture of sustainability, responsibility, and continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Tasks: 

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of quality, food safety, and social compliance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., BRCGS, SMETA, Halal, Kosher) and support the implementation of emerging sustainability standards.
  • Assist in internal, external, and customer audits, including follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and support product release.
  • Handle customer feedback and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Promote awareness of food safety, sustainability, and ethical practices across teams.
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of quality-related equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records (samples, calibration, audits, etc.).
  • Conduct inspections related to housekeeping, hygiene, and site compliance
  • Support and guide quality spotters and sugar screeners.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to proactively manage risks.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Sustainability Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage; however, motivated graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Organised, structured, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively.
