We are looking for a Network and System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school’s network infrastructure, managing system performance, supporting end-users, and ensuring the security and reliability of all IT operations.

• Create and manage staff accounts on school systems, ensuring timely deactivation of leavers and regular review of active accounts.
• Provide frontline IT support to staff, students, and parents, including assistance with passwords, network access, and email accounts.
• Support users on School software effectively and deliver training on new or updated systems.
• Monitor system health through logs, reports, and notifications, taking necessary action to prevent performance issues or downtime.
• Implement proactive measures to address unexpected issues such as system outages, cyber threats, or virus attacks.
• Maintain network integrity by applying system updates, enforcing security measures, and monitoring network activity to protect data.
• Ensure all hardware and software, including Office 365 and other programmes, are updated, licensed, and in proper working condition.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware, software, licences, and warranties, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
• Assist in purchasing new IT equipment by researching technologies, making recommendations, and managing installation and user training.
• Perform data backups, VM replications, data restoration, and disaster recovery operations, and document recovery drills.
• Manage technical updates to the school website, including changes to content or layout.
• Develop and implement system usage policies and procedures to support consistent and compliant IT operations.
