Riou Ocean Glass Ltd is a company specialising in the design of innovative, trendy and committed glass products for the local market and exports markets. We are recruiting a diligent, motivated and dynamic candidate for the position of Sales & Marketing Manager.

 

We are looking for a results-oriented professional who will drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships. Acting as a strategic link between our processing plant and customers, you will identify business opportunities, close deals and ensure exceptional customer service. This role requires strong persuasion skills, solid market knowledge and a performance-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be mainly required to:

  • Initiate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs, analyse and address complaints, and provide appropriate solutions. Build long-term relationships with both local and international clients through effective communication and after-sales service.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape, and use this data to develop marketing strategies and propose new or alternative products.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and services in order to effectively communicate their features and benefits. Identify customer preferences and emerging trends to tailor marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, adapting the message to their specific requirements. Visit and engage with professionals within the construction industry.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals. Prepare tender documents and basic costings, ensuring that commercial terms are favourable to both the company and the client.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure delivery deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Achieve annual sales targets and budget objectives while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market conditions in order to effectively position the company’s offerings.
  • Report regularly to Management on performance, market feedback and updated strategies.
  • Develop pricing policies in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Monitor and manage the local and export market segments as defined by Management.
  • Oversee and manage the Sales & Marketing team by providing coaching, training and performance evaluations to ensure company standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Sales & Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel) and working knowledge of an ERP system.
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial and construction environment; experience in hardware goods would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; trustworthy with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced sales environment, meet deadlines and must be willing to travel abroad regularly when required to visit foreign customers.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills with a solid understanding of sales techniques and market dynamics.
  • Goal-oriented with a customer-focused approach and strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Holder of a valid driving licence.
