The United Basalt Products Ltd is looking to recruit a motivated and dynamic Accounts Clerk.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices received.
  • Follow up on approved invoices and credit notes with clients and suppliers.
  • Verify accuracy of invoices against Purchase Orders, Goods Received Notes and supporting documents.
  • Handle queries with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Process monthly Claims for Payment of Expenses.
  • Propose payment dates based on creditors’ terms and process payments accordingly.
  • Prepare and follow up on cheques, internet banking and e-payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Reconcile supplier statements before month-end closing.
  • Assist Accountant in accounts closing and reporting.
  • Attend to internal and external auditors’ requests.
  • Prepare all monthly, quarterly and yearly returns for submission to MRA.
  • Ensure proper filing of invoices and accounting documents.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and report any risky situations.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver departmental objectives and support internal stakeholders.
  • Higher School Certificate with Accounting.
  • ACCA Level 1 would be an advantage.
  • At least 1 year experience in the accounting sector.
  • Knowledge of accounting tools and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of IT tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and rigour.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Good time management and multitasking skills.

Candidate Profile:

  • Higher School Certificate with Accounting.
  • ACCA Level 1 would be an advantage.
  • At least 1 year experience in the accounting sector.
  • Knowledge of accounting tools and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of IT tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and rigour.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Good time management and multitasking skills.
