The Stewarding Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all kitchen and food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.

• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical usage.

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, back-of-house areas, stores, and waste disposal areas.

• Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when required.

• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of garbage and recyclables.

• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to procedures.

• Maintain floor cleanliness, including mopping and scrubbing.

• Assist with receiving, moving, and storing supplies and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

• Report breakages, maintenance issues, and safety hazards to the supervisor.

• Follow daily and periodic deep-cleaning schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen support preferred.

• Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.

• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

• Team player with a positive attitude.

• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
