We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Finance Officer to oversee daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, manage payroll and cash flow, ensure compliance, and deliver monthly reports that support smart business decisions.”
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare, analyse, and present monthly financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses to management
- Monitor financial performance against budget and highlight variances
Accounting & Payroll
- Maintain accurate accounting records using Sage Pastel
- Process payroll using Payroll Vision Way, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
- Record and reconcile transactions, journals, and general ledger entries
Cash Flow & Payments
- Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely payments to suppliers and staff
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily and monthly cash positions
- Liaise with banks for transfers, cheques, and other facilities
Compliance & Coordination
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, NPF/NSF,PRGF and other statutory submissions
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors
Support to Management
- Provide financial reports and information as required
- Assist in budget monitoring, cost control, and process improvements
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with Sage Pastel and Payroll Vision Way
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred (Advantage)
- Experience within a group of companies
- Familiarity with Mauritian statutory and tax requirements
