Full-time on-site Chef de Cuisine role at Grand Baie Yacht Club. Manage daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, inventory, menu planning, staff supervision, and ensuring all food safety standards are met.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment as a chef or sous-chef, with experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and experience with developing Italian menu items
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to manage inventory and food costs, and work within a budget
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high levels of quality control in food preparation and presentation
- Completion of a professional culinary program is preferred
- Restaurant experience preferred
