Responsible to manage, plan and supervise all the store related activities. The storekeeper has to meet and exceed standards for productivity, service and merchandise stock control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the storeroom inventory and deliver products and materials to the shops and the Food and Beverage outlets.
- Ensure that quantities are accurate in the inventory database and that orders received from suppliers are accurate.
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organisational quality.
- Answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.
- Notify superior of low stock levels in a timely manner.
- Receive and count materials efficiently into the stockroom, through receiving transactions.
- Verification of the quantities and documentation when parts or products are brought into the company, ensuring quality of goods.
- Process and issue deliveries to the store floor quickly and accurately, when requested include a transaction out of the stockroom to the shop floor, packing and preparing the materials for transfer to shops.
- Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Ensure all physical inventories are carried out as per the schedules.
- Monitor and verify inventory computation by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies.
- Keep records on the damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to HODs and reporting line manager.
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
- Perform any cognate duties as may be required.
Candidate's Profile:
- School Certificate.
- At least 3 years’ of experience as storekeeper.
- Be Computer literate.
- Knowledge in the Food & Beverages field.
- Good physical capacities, for significant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, frequent stooping and kneelingAbility to communicate effectively.
- Honest and trustworthy.
