The Role
As part of Checkout.com’s #NextGen Graduate Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers, Graduate community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.
You will join a brand-new, rapidly growing team in Mauritius focused on moving and operating critical finance work from London. This role is designed as a rotational program, giving you a comprehensive flavor of finance by spending time across three different teams, such as core FinOps and other local finance functions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
During this Graduate Program, you will build foundational operational and problem-solving skills, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute directly to our mission.
Rotational Exposure: You will complete three distinct stints over one year to gain broad exposure to the finance umbrella before specialising in a specific area.
Operational Excellence: You will help ensure that complex financial work previously managed in London is operated seamlessly and efficiently within the Mauritius hub.
Proactive Problem Solving: You will identify capacity and process challenges, working closely with managers in both Mauritius and London to provide visibility and solve problems in real-time.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Team
You’re a curious, motivated, and innovative operations enthusiast, excited to dive into the world of digital payments and technology.
Education & Background: You hold a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Mathematics, Accounting, or a similar quantitative field.
Candidates pursuing professional qualifications like ACCA or CFA are highly encouraged.
You have graduated within the last 12 months or are due to graduate by September 2026.
Communication & Mindset: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with international stakeholders. You possess a "go-getter" attitude and the self-starting ability to seek out new tasks during periods of high capacity.
Work Ethic: You are highly reliable and understand the importance of providing regular updates to your team and global managers. You have a strong sense of proactivity and do not wait for instructions to contribute to the team's success.
Collaboration & Growth: You have an eagerness to learn from a large pool of experienced colleagues and a passion for being coached in the early stages of your career.
Relevant Interest: A clear interest in accounting principles and a desire to understand the operational side of a global fintech finance department
