Our client a dynamic investment management firm specializing in Private Equity Fund Investments and Co-Investments is seeking to recruit a Finance Executive. The Finance Executive will play a crucial role within the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

Portfolio & Fund Financial Management (Core Responsibilities):

The Finance Executive is fully accountable for the financial integrity, liquidity management, and forward-looking visibility of all funds.
Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
- Own and maintain fund-level cash flow forecasts (capital calls and distributions).
- Continuously integrate operating expenses and cash positions across funds.
- Proactively resolve short- and medium-term liquidity mismatches.
- Ensure funds can meet all commitments without last-minute escalation or surprises.

Capital Calls & Distributions (LPs)
- Prepare, issue, and monitor investor capital calls.
- Coordinate investor cash collections with administrators and banks.
- Anticipate funding needs and recommend corrective actions when required.

Fund Accounting, Monitoring & Valuations:

The Finance Executive is fully accountable for the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of fund-level financial data and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date investment positions across all funds, including capital calls, distributions, and remaining commitments.
- Oversee and validate quarterly fund valuations, ensuring alignment with underlying manager reports and valuation policies.
- Supervise the accurate booking of fund operating expenses on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare, review, and validate quarterly fund financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, NAV, Capital Accounts, and carried interest calculations.
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of Capital Account Statements (CAS) to investors in line with agreed reporting schedules.
- Maintain robust reconciliations between accounting records, internal models, investor reporting, and audited financial statements.
- Act as the primary finance counterpart for fund administrators and external accountants, with full ownership of fund accounting matters.

Investor Reporting:

- Coordinate and drive the production of investor reporting (semi-annual progress reports).
- Provide reliable financial data to teams responsible for narrative reporting.
- Independently handle investor queries related to capital calls, valuations, and circularization letters.
- Ensure absolute accuracy and consistency in all LP-facing financial information.

Management Company:

Accounting & Governance
- Prepare and supervise financial statements for the management companies and all related entities.
- Prepare solvency tests and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and structure board packs for funds and the management company.

Treasury & FX Management
- Manage FX exposure across funds and the management company.
- Propose and execute appropriate FX arbitrage and hedging actions when required.

Fund Launches & Financial Structuring:

- Actively contribute to new fund launches:
- Preparation of financial business plans
- Cost structures, revenue assumptions, and scalability analysis
- Serve as a key finance counterpart on the structuring of new investment vehicles.

Accountability & Performance Expectations
The Finance Executive is directly accountable for:
- Accuracy and reliability of all financial data.
- Timely delivery of all financial outputs.
- Proactive anticipation of cash, reporting, and operational risks.
- Effective coordination with external service providers.
 
Profile:
Graduate from a top-tier business or engineering school, or a leading university (specialization in finance, strategy, or economics preferred).
3-5 years of experience in private equity, M&A, strategy consulting, or corporate finance is a strong asset.
Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).

Technical Skills:
- Advanced financial modeling skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Soft Skills:
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
